Marie Carnine
Marie offers piano lessons in Savannah along the 380 corridor and is the owner of Piano Lessons North Texas. She teaches students aged 6 to 18 (as well as a few adult women) and covers both traditional classical and chord reading techniques. With over 40 years of teaching experience, Marie has worked at Future Sounds Studios in Grand Prairie and Colleyville Suzuki School of Music. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Liberty University and a BAS degree from Dallas Baptist University with a concentration in music. Marie's journey with piano began at age 5, but it wasn't until she was 8 that her passion reignited. She studied under Dr. E. Belcher at Howard Payne University and Dr. M. Fritz at Dallas Baptist University. Marie delights in seeing her students' light up as they discover their ability to create beautiful music on the piano.
I took my first piano lesson when I was 5 years old. It was stop and go after that until I was in junior high school. My first instrument was voice, though I never did well with opera.
My favorite music? Vivalde Four Seasons - especially Spring. I like modern jazz. I don't much care for rap.
I have recorded and/or led worship in the following countries: United States, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Lithuania, Siberia, Russia, Israel, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Spain, and Hungary.

Mozart
Mozart is a Shih Poo (Shih Tzu X Poodle)
who was adopted by Ms. Carnine in January 2020.
While he enjoys music, he doesn’t participate in lessons due to his tendency to bark and sing a bit too enthusiastically.
Mozart enjoys walks, chasing squirrels, and doing tricks for treats.
